Unconformity

In geology, an unconformity

Is a break in time,

In an otherwise 

Continuous (rock) record.

It’s a sort of rock boundary

Caused by erosion, or pause in accumulation.

Conformity is to behave In 

Socially acceptable conventions and standards.

~~~

Have I begun to transform

Into and UN-conformity?

I have accumulated much

Following standard conventions,

But, my need for social acceptance

Is eroding away.

And the new is arriving 

so quickly now.

My boundaries forming,

Solid as rock.

Maybe future generations

Will see me in the record of our evolution.

One break in the strata 

Of this time.
