Heavy Snow
Freezing Rain
Crunching through each step
Stillness in the air
Great burden hangs
On small tree branches
A sudden lifted feeling
Then movement of wind
Top of the tree canopy
Begins to dance
A million tiny cracks
Like a symphony above
These trees show their magic
They will not be falling today.
