Do you believe only in
What you see?
Your visual system
Sees what you believe.
Weird paradox,
That.
What about the
Feelings underneath?\
The ones that we usually
Try not to notice?
Are those real?
What makes them more or less real?
Could we say that
Feeling is believing?
Our feeling is filtered
Through our past experiences too.
Reality is perceived and measured,
Against our perceptive field,
Our perceptions are built from a collage
Of all of our past experiences,
And, research suggests, in a large part,
Inherited from our ancestors too.
That would mean generations of experience
Create our perception.
Maybe the feeling part helps more than we think.
At least it keeps us in the present.
I wonder if it is in
Bumping up against one another,
And sharing a felt experience,
While discerning the edges of our perception,
That what we call reality
Can find its way to the Surface?
Might be useful to find someone,
With a completely different perceptive field than yours.
The reality that surfaces from the biggest differences,
Is likely to be the closest to the mark.
