Success?
Is it financial stability?
Is it amazing digs and a nice
Car?
Is it a happy marriage?
Is it pride for our offsprings’
Achievements?
Is it reaching thousands of
People?
Is it being remembered for
Kindness?
Or for doing great works?
Is success a feeling I’ll have one day,
In the middle of a meal with my loved ones,
While looking out the window at the setting sun?
Or is it here, right, now?
Appreciating all of the abundance
I am already being given.
If I’ve already “made it”
What drives me to keep striving for more?
I know I no longer want to play the
Carrot on a stick game.
This horse wants to sit down,
Until she remembers that she loves to run.
