Book a Session

Still Asleep

meditations on life Feb 05, 2021

The fog hangs

Heavy over everything

Dawn is just

Arriving

Even the mountains

Are still asleep

A burst of pink

Rises up in the distance

Obscured by the mist

So soft and beautiful

Rain on my face

My glasses fog up too

Myles hurries me along

His energy high from the cold

My lungs and feet

Keep the pace

The trees feel still

As if in shock

A seagull flies

Directly over my head

Then the rest of the flock

Lift off in a spiral up to the roof

Almost home

Grateful for my coat and hat
