When she
Hurts
Or has moments of
Fear
Or is under
Attack
Or judged by the
Ignorant
Kindling deep in my
Gut
Lights up like
Spreading fire
Once lit, must burn
Until complete.
This is not my
Fight to win.
No matter how much
I would like to
Fight.
I may be able to take
Some pain.
And pray for healing
On her behalf.
But I cannot change
This.
It is not mine to change.
She is
Someone Else.
With her own beautiful
Way.
Please give me the
Strength
To endure this
With grace
To offer the right
amount of space
And remember our
Love.
She is My
Someone Else.
