Shimmer of Magic

Light dancing on top of the water

In honeycomb wave patterns

An occasional collision of waves

Creating an infinity pattern of white.

Just this.

Water and sunlight.

So simple.

So natural.

Why does it seem so 

Magical?

Is it just that I don’t understand

Exactly how it works?

Is it me projecting excitement and joy

Onto something mundane?

Surely anyone can see 

The shimmer of magic?

No one else seems to be

looking.

And it’s right there in plain view

Revealing its mystery.

Is anyone else ready to receive

This revelation?
