A circle of beings forms around me
Drawn to me like spokes of a wheel.
I extend taller as the center,
My effort in balancing strength with grace.
I grow roots to connect to each being,
Each connection increasing the centripetal force.
It reminds me of the spinning octopus ride
I rode at the fair as a child.
A part of me remembers—
Recognizing the ancient ways.
The physics of the structure itself
Harnessing great power.
It’s intimidating—
Where do I direct all of this energy?
Out of my realm,
I quickly surrender—allowing what is.
Suddenly aware—my heart is in orbit
Around a great sun I can only feel.
The beings spin around me,
As my heart carries us through the arc of space.
Am I learning a new technology?
Or the mechanics of trust?
Exploring beyond the limits
Of all that we have known.
