The next generation
May be born with Remembrance.
The ones before them paving the way,
each generation one step…
Who were you before you were born?
Why have you come?
My daughter’s generation:
Restless in loss of respect for old ways.
They bind to one another,
Not to their parents or past values.
Like the right emotional brain:
Present. Curious. Collaborative. Sometimes aimless.
Has meaning been lost?
Or are they making way for the new?
If the newest remember
Who they have always been,
Education and parenting
Will completely change.
No longer a need to indoctrinate
Or master information.
Individual curiosity, intuition, inherent gifts,
and learning to learn--a new currency.
Collective exploration, playfulness,
Joy, and wonder,
Could become commonplace.
As we grow a new world together.
