Snow

The kind that

brightens the night

Tiny spots of cold

Gently dissolve on my face

Chill sneaking in

The tops of my boots

Bursts of excitement

From the prancing dog

Am I too old now

To fall back in it

Let it catch me

And make a snow angel?

It still supports me!

Packed around my legs and head

Warm inside and

Cold outside

Watching the flakes

Spin toward my eyes.

Thank you

Sweet sky.
