I forgot.
For a long time
now.
That time,
When my heart
Broke
And life was too
Hard
And I screamed my
Curse at god.
I simply forgot
To ask.
The pain was very
Convincing
That I was completely
Alone
But it was a lie.
I forgot to ask
For you to
Hold my Hand.
I wonder what would have
Been
If I had remembered
To ask.
It was me that
Pushed you away.
I did that.
Not thinking that I had
A choice.
And some part of me
Stayed alone
After that.
With proof of my
Aloneness clutched tightly
In her hand.
It’s time now.
To let go of all evidence.
And look again at the
facts.
I am surrounded by love.
I am supported with grace
When I remember to
Ask.
So, please
Hold My Hand.
I’m ready to
Walk this path
Together.
I am older now.
I can see more of my
Magnitude.
I will do this work
Better
If you hold my
Hand.
