Its yellows and reds,
A bit earlier
Than the others around it.
Stretching with anticipation
Of the leap into air.
Calling the winds
To lift at the right moment.
The tether to her tree
Still holding her tight.
Maybe the tree is waiting for
The others to be ready too?
It's so much more fun
To dive, spin, and whirl,
With the ones you love most
Dancing the air beside you.
Sweetness of the seasons.
