Derail

The momentum is

Great.

Years of practicing this way of

Relating.

Taking my connection with you for

Granted.

But, something new has

Emerged.

Apparently, even this is possible to

Derail.

What good is my train off the

Tracks?

My best intentions having

Spilled.

A big mess upturned for all to

See.

Guess it’s my turn to stop the

Traffic.

Vulnerability definitely generates

Humility.

Don’t think I can get back on track

Alone.

I’d really prefer to transform and

Fly.

Leaving all I have been carrying

Behind.

Is aching for the sky

Enough?

Or must I lay vertical

Tracks—

Expecting my wings to sprout on the

Climb?

Doing something seems better than

Nothing.

Best get busy pulling these

Spikes.
