At times,
when the wind

and too fast,

forcefully pulling

anchors
and attachments—

fight, or cut?

There are storms
you can weather,
and others
that can break you.

Only one choice
is best
when the stakes
are this high.

Thankfully,
when danger rises,
the mind grows clear,
and attention
sharpens to a point.

We also remember—
being alone
won’t sustain us long.

What needs
to be cut?
Who is with you
to weather
this storm?

And don’t forget—

still need you;
