Climb Higher

It can be 

Disorienting,

When you cross over

Into something completely new

And you realize just how high

You have already climbed.

The air is a little 

Different up here.

Softer—in a way,

Harder to get enough.

So, the mind begins

To calm down.

It’s not worth the energy 

To create more problems to solve.

It just lets go and

Relaxes into the ride.

So your legs keep the rhythm

Step after step.

They are well practiced in 

This upward dance.

And here, 

Where your legs dance

And your mind 

Stops,

Here, 

In this in-between,

A reversal of the usual

Busy mind

And still legs,

Here, your heart 

Begins to rise up.

Powered by the energies 

From below,

And not caged by

The open mind above,

There is room to lift and expand,

Encompassing all of its space.

Your heart in its full measure

Brings effortless harmony.

Singing with the other hearts

Who have found their way.

Nothing else for us to do now,

Except climb higher.
