I would rather not feel.
In the empty in-between
I am not sure who I am.
I’m not what
I was for you.
That part cannot
Return now.

Into that ‘me’.

Where that ‘me’ used to be.
Am I free?
Unburdened by this change?
Why do I resist
These things?
When it’s so easy to regret
All I forgot to cherish before.
I want to take courage
And be more, instead.
A Void
No limits—a space to be filled.
No longer burdened
by what I thought mattered.
No longer invested
In one particular outcome.
No longer hopeful
For the return of what was.
Just
This
Now.
Nothing left to
A Void.
I can fill this space
With whatever I want it to be.
I am still.
I am ready.
